I’ve been so frustrated with RM not updating their POIs since 2018. Luckily I came across this site. How does one add new truck stops to a 740?
Addig POI to RM
The Rand McNally units use a 9 field CSV file for their POI. POI-Factory has a filter to convert Garmin GPX files to the RM format.
Find the Truck Stop GPX file and you will see an option to download it in RM format. Download the file using the filter and then use RM's POI loading procedure. As a side note, I looked seriously at buying one of their units as they had features built-in that Garmin lacked. I'm glad I didn't invest in one now. It appears their GPS business hasn't been lucrative enough to continue development.
