Reading POI info

I recently created a POI file that has multiple duplicates in column C and differing info in column D. I have a Garmin 2370 and a Garmin Drive Assist 51 each with micro cards for storing the Extra POI files. When I try to search the data with the Garmin 2370, every entry is displayed; however, the Drive Assist 51 seems to display only the first duplicate it encounters. Each Garmin was loaded with the exact same file. Is there something within the Garmin Drive Assist 51 that can be setup to make it "read" all entries.
Hope someone out there is smarter than I with an answer.
Thank you
Bob
use a Spreadsheet program
Use MS Excel or some other spreadsheet program to sort by column "B" and then sort by column "A". Any duplicates or almost duplicates should be findable as you scroll through the file.
See my FAQ about maintaining a file for easy editing

It's a lengthy set of instructions, but it's really easy to do. And there is a PDF file so it can be printed.

Thank you for your reply. I was not looking to eliminate replications, just have them show up in my Garmin. As an example, using a downloaded file from the government listing that has 4 sheets. The 1st two sheets are Airports and Runways. I made separate CSV files for each with information I extracted from and combined in both sheets. The problem with my Garmin Drive Assist 51 is that it will not show all of the replicated entries beyond the 1st entry it encountered. There were numerous locations with, 2, 3, 4, 5...up to 27 replications. Unfortunately every replication set had the exact same data for Longitude, Latitude and Column C. Column D has additional (different) information for every duplicated entry and I wanted to be able to have access to that information.
I appreciate your time and effort in responding to my query. I still don't know why The Gamin 51 will NOT display all the duplicate entries when the Garmin 2370 will display all. Anyway, I did a work-around that works on both units, including the replicated entries that had 27 duplicated entries.
It is my guess that Garmin "improved" the newer model 51.
This is a GREAT site and sure hope it continues its good work.

Kudos to all at POI Factory - a great site!
Maybe try creating POIs in
Maybe try creating POIs in Basecamp and see how it works.

according to garmin
a CSV file has 3 required entries, Lat, Lon, Description with a fourth position available for OPTIONAL information. It appears as if the programming was changed for the "smart" system in that the name data is used to eliminate duplicate entries.
