Updating?

Go for the new version NT 2008, from what most users, they upgrade every two to three years, depending how much you drive and if several changes in your immediate area has been updated..

Not sure what I did but all the maps on the gps (c550) have been deleted from the device. Is there a way to get them back and if so how?

I feel like a step child here as I am tracking all my posts and no love from my fellow gpsr's at all. I have been gone for a while but jeeez. Well from the date of this post, I have sent the GPS back to Garmin for repair. FYI for anyone else that experiences such an issue as this.

Did you copy it back over?

I did that once and forgot to put it inside the Garmin folder.

The technician took over my computer by having me type in garminlive.com and it takes me to a site where I allow him access to take over the computer. He told me that because the c550 doesnt have mass storage nothing was retrievable or able to be reinstalled so his only suggestion after about 20-25 minutes of support was to ship the device back to them. I guess I deleted one to many files.
