My last trip was to stumble

My last trip was to stumble out of bed, this fine New Years Day, and make it o the coffee pot. Happy New Year to the POI Factory denizens, as well as Jonathon and Angela. May this New Year bring joy and contentment to all!

Covid-19 vaccine

Has anyone received the vaccine? I can't find anyone giving them near us.

Vaccine.

I would like to get vaccinated as soon as I am eligible and I will go wherever I need to to get the shot. But I am guessing it will be a few months before my turn comes up. My wife is 3 years older than me and has more underlying health conditions, so she may be eligible for the vaccine before I am.

My doctor has me down for two test and one lab. I have been rebelling and not going. I will go after I receive my Covid vaccine. The two test are at a hospital and the lab is at a local lab. They are all just to see how I am doing, and I see no reason to hurry. You know sick people could be at both places. I keep getting email reminders that I have not scheduled them. No way!

Same here Mary. My wife and I are ready to take the vaccine whenever they tell us it is available ... the sooner the better. Our state is way behind on the doses that were promised, so it isn't looking good. And I can't believe that there are people who say they will refuse to take it when it comes.

We are on a list at a doctors office several miles away.
Our doctor's office, that is nearby, sent us a message saying they may have the vaccine shortly and to keep looking for messages from them. That is encouraging. Just hope we get the vaccine before we go to Houston. Our luck they will offer it to us the week we are gone.

Covid-19 Vaccine

Our family doctor found and signed us both up for a triage appointment to get our vaccine. Only took about 40 minutes.
He was worried for my husband with his immune system and cancer treatments.

Great News
I made it there and back, so far no side effects just a sore arm that a pint of ice cream should take care of it.

Orange-and-white

a big box store on my way to a friend's house to fix some wiring.

Only a quarter-mile detour. The one in my neighborhood is two miles from my house in the opposite direction.

Great Mary!

Glad you and your husband were able to get the vaccine. Let us know if you have any side effects. Some seem to and others have no side effects. In any case, I will take the vaccine as soon as I am eligible ... the sooner the better. My wife is over 75 with underlying health conditions. I am below 75 (not by much) with fewer health problems. So I expect she will get the vaccine before I do.

The same thing here. We are in suburban New York City and the number of doses arriving on a weekly basis is a drop in the bucket. Websites show no appointments available - ever.

Our daughter is allergic to bee stings and carries an Epipen. She received the first dose of the Moderna vaccine without serious side effects. She only had a sore arm for a day.
