Info required (haven't used my Garmin 61 for a very long time)

I have not used my Garmin 61 for a very long time now and can not remember if you can just "drop" a GPX file into the micro card in the back and then access it direct from the front screen.

If not then can someone refresh me on how I get it into the Garmin.

Thanks

Well

Drop it into the GPX folder on the device, or if on the card GarminGPX

I dropped

1 GPX into the internal storage and 1 with another name into the memory card to test but how do you find and access them from the front screen.
Thanks

You find Saved places by

You find Saved places by touching Where To, then Saved to see the closest 50 locations.

I tried that but did not show the file there.
I am trying to reload a back up of a .gpx file as I deleted it in the "Trip Planner"----->"Saved Trips" bin.
Thanks

Trip planner

On the main screen, touch apps then trip planner. You will find your trips there.

Helpful information. https://www8.garmin.com/manuals/webhelp/drivesmart51-61/EN-U...

Still nothing there. Tried renaming the file to Route1.gpx, no go.
If I remember years ago I may have loaded them with "Basecamp"
Is that possible?

Basecamp

Thanks

for your help

Well

If it's not showing then where did the file come from? It's either not a valid gpx file or its corrupted.

Have

got it uploaded.
Drag and Drop did not work.

I used Basecamp to put it in the Garmin's 'Internal Storage" folder

Showed up in the "Trip Planner" ---> "Saved Trips" --> "Imported Trips"

Thanks for your help.

Congratulations

Thanks for reporting back on your success.
