Canadian cameras?

I just got back from a week in the Vancouver metro region. My Nuvi was sounding off with a lot of speed camera warnings, and I could never spot anything. Mostly they were on deserted and lonely stretches of highways. Does anyone know if these alleged cameras actually exist?

The ones in Calgary are real and numerous.

The ones in Toronto definitely exist.
And they are all comming back in full force soon

It won't be long before they have the red light cams in ALL cities over 100,000 population in Ontario.
