Because spring does not start on the same day everywhere ?
some places use the equinox and solstice
some places just change em on the first day of a month

Most folks think of the astronomical seasons (based on the equinox and solstice dates). But to me, meteorological seasons make more sense (based on normal temperature cycles). We have been enjoying meteorological spring since March 1. smile
