2000 speed cams...

At my age I will probably never drive again in NYC, but this thread should cause some interesting commentary from those who do wink

Well, if the cameras only

Well, if the cameras only operate during school hours or activity hours, then OK. But if they operate around the clock 24/7 then I have to ask if politicans EVER think anything through, or do they only react?

I

As long as there is some leeway like in MD, nothing wrong.

Unfortunately, cams cannot show discretion like LEOs can. We all may have strong opinions one way or another but once in a while we should all be humble. I moved out to pass a slow moving vehicle and he gunned it--I passed legally on a dotted line and hit around 57 and wouldn't you know it was a Explorer Police Interceptor coming the other way. LEO told me to be careful, you didn't do anything wrong just that your speed was up there (this was maybe 22 over which is not within the threshold of 12 mph like in MD.

We all make mistakes and sometimes putting permanent fixtures serve as reminders.
