Below is a link for the large JCV file (D3060290A.JCV). The file does not need to be unzipped as it is in the native, uncompressed state.

Thanks mcginkleschmidt

For posting the Large JCV for us guys who still need it. smile

thanks

thanks .. now all i need is 3d and foursquare.. have everything else between my three lm garmin units.. need stuff for kenwood which they fail to ever release.

Thanks, Mcginkleschmidt!

Your prompt provision of the large JCV is so appreciated.

Everything has been updated including a run of Garmin POI Loader, and I am making my first simulation run to test the increased number of junction views.

Your effort is a real boost of my GPS experience.

Take care...

Thanks Mcginkleschmidt!

Thank you for making the full screen JCV file available for download.

As one who enjoys using this file and who otherwise has no easy access to it, I am deeply appreciative of those here at POI Factory who make it available to the rest of us.

The unzipped format increases the file upload and download times but it makes for a less fiddly process. grin

Add +1

My thanks also.

As there are several types of JCV files (split image, for NT or NTU devices, etc) could you please specify which device type does the above file fit. (e.g. can it be used on my Nuvi 1490)?
Thanks

1490 and JCV

The FAQ is based on Garmin's City Navigator North America map. I have no info on JCVs and other Garmin maps.

Thanks

An inquiring mind needs to ask

Every time there is a map update there is talk of the Large JCV file.. And much appreciation when it is provided.

Ok.. just what is this and how would (could??) I use it on my 2689. What do folks that can use this Large JCV file gain that the rest of us don't.....
