In danger of losing your windmill?
Maybe you can share the last place your GPS took you and if you encountered any problems, or if you used it to seek out special places to go (like Thai Food, ice cream shoppes, etc.).
Anything to keep your windmill alive.
This thread will be closed on the last day of the month and a new one will be opened.

In around Tokyo now.
Downloaded the OSM Japan Map for the 3597.
So far has no need to use the Garmin yet.
Hotel provided free of charge a cell phone (English UI). The phone can be used to call US and a few Asian countries for free. And I use the phone to browse and navigate. Not bad, excellent actually.
So far, no need to activate the Garmin.

something interesting to report: Seattle and Vancouver BC, coming up!
went north for volleyball tournament, went south to see in-laws
Tournament was out in the country and was grateful to have cell data to look for lunch and Waze to avoid construction jams.
Winter must be coming since the road was crowded on the way to/from the island and lots of tourists down there before the cold fronts start having an effect.

Rode out Michael and a tornado warning siren - 2 little ones touched down not too far from home, or so I heard.
Scary as hell when that siren went off on my iPhone - loud!

NE TN to Hershey PA
Successfully made the round trip. GPS didn't have to work hard on the way, I think I only changed the actual road I was on 6 times. Back was a bit more convoluted with a detour to see family in MD on the way home. Not sure I could have found their house without Veronica.
Down the Road
Took advantage of one of the final warm days of the season to drive down to a local dairy farm market for homemade ice cream. YUM!

Camping...
Just got home from a week-long camping trip to the northern redwoods in California. Awesome as always. Certainly different weather than home though. I've been wearing a long-john top, tee shirt, and sweatshirt all day every day. It's been 40 degrees at 9:00 AM. Now I'm home and it's in the mid 80's. Naturally my trusty 760 drove us everywhere and we listened to an audio book on it through the truck stereo. They used to know how to make a nice unit back in the day. It's too bad none of the new units do that sort of stuff. Love my old 760.

I did use the MP3 player in my 750. It was nice to have. But now I just use my smartphone.

Crossing 600 Miles of Texas
Used Waze for the first time on a long trip. I was surprised it kept navigating in parts of west Texas where I only have one bar of 3G cellular coverage. Let me know to take the loop around El Paso, but I figured that on my own anyway. All-in-all, it did a good job on a route I’m familiar with. Gives me more confidence in areas I don’t know.

It's about the Line- If a line can be drawn between the powers granted and the rights retained, it would seem to be the same thing, whether the latter be secured by declaring that they shall not be abridged, or that the former shall not be extended.

Little girl likes roller coasters but Saturday was a bust since many of the thrill coasters were down. If we weren't so tired, we would have drove back home that day but took a hotel for the night. Fortunately, they had the thrill coasters open on Sunday so we did that and drove home.
We lucked out on the drive down. Google maps/Waze showed traffic jam near a construction zone at least two hours from the house and we planned on taking the US highway instead of interstate for that portion. By the time we got down there, a semi laid over and they closed the interstate that we were bypassing.
