3597 POI Limit?

Just added poi's to my 3597 using poi loader.
I received the successfully added notification.
They are not showing up when traveling.
I tried zooming in and being with 200 feet or less
They are listed under custom poi but don't show up on the screen.
Is there an upper limit to the number of poi's causing them not to show up?

Need more data

Need more data, such as:

Where did the POIs come from? Did you make them or did you get them here or elsewhere?

Did you add Custom Icon(s) with the POI file(s)?

Are the "Built-in" POIs that come with the map showing?

Are the POIs being listed if you go to "Where To?" + "Categories" + "Custom POIs".
Note: Name(s) of the file(s) should be there. If you select on one of the new POIs and then select the "i" in a circle, the POI should display on the map with the custom icon or a small blue dot at the location. Make sure it's where it should be.

Let us have a little more detail and that will reduce the time to help you solve your problem.

More data

all came from here.
used bmp's from here also.
been doing this for years without any problems.
this is a first-time problem after years of adding poi's.
going to try adding the same one's to my ds 50 and see if they show up.

Built in icons?

Do you see the built-in Garmin icons for banks and such on your 3597? If not, you may have turned off the map layer that shows those icons and if so, turning off the built-in icons also disables your custom POI icons from appearing on the map. See owners manual, especially pp 6-7:

http://static.garmin.com/pumac/nuvi_35x7_OM_EN.pdf

I remember that when I first got my 3597, I hated the built-in Garmin icons and turned off the map layer to make them go away. Then I realized I also lost my Custom POI icons and I re-enabled the map layer.

If I remember some of this incorrectly which is quite possible since it's been a while since I had my issues with 3597 icons, someone will straighten me out promptly, I'm sure.

zoomed in?

I remember another thread that discussed not seeing the POI icons if not zoomed in enough. This was related to a map or software update for the 3597 that changed the default zoom setting to further out. The GPS could be repeatedly returning to the default zoom level.

Need to go to Settings>Map &

Need to go to Settings>Map & Vehicle>Map Layers and check "Places Along the Road".

POI Limit

Maybe you ran out of room on the unit or card?

Fixed.

I guess I had Inadvertently turned map layers off.
Turning them back on worked like a charm.
Must be that Agent Orange acting up again.
Thanks guys.

Glad to hear that it was something easy to fix.

For the reminder CraigW, I just checked my 2797 and now I have my custom POI's icons showing again.
