Curious folder

I just found this folder in my computer on the C drive. I am using the forward slash since this forum does not allow the backward slash.
I did not create them.
Can anyone enlighten me why or how this came to be?

C:/Documents/Garmin/Backups/2UE133841/
2018-05-04 (18.33.22)
2018-06-06 (13.06.46)

In each of the 2018 folders there is a .System,GPX,POI and Reports folder.

Garmin Express.

I believe these are the backups created by Garmin Express.

Backslash

I also have similar results with folders created 5/14/18. The current 2019.20 map came out 6/20/18 so this backup was not connected with a map update. But going with alandb's thoughts, I may have run GE with a Garmin device connected on 5/14 which may have created the backup. I do not remember ever telling GE to create any backup so it may be some automatic event. Maybe others can shed more light on this.

FYI for future use:

A backslash can be created by typing the following without a space between characters:

& # 9 2 ;

\

Automatic backups

I think Garmin Express may do an automatic backup when you apply a software update. I just updated my 2 3597's a couple of days ago with the "Traffic Provider" update, and backups were created on that date.

Thanks

Thanks alanb for the explanation.

CraigW, at my age it's easier to remember switching to forward slash. Only one keystroke.
