Bluetooth connection from iphone still not stable with Nuvicam after almost three years. Even new version of Smart Link app for IOS has not fixed the issue. Sometimes it works for days and then all of a sudden it starts dropping connection. Then I have to go to Settings on Nuvi, disable Bluetooth and re-enable it to make it working again. Yesterday, it failed 5 times out of 10 times. It is really frustrating.
If device is 3 years old it may be part of the problem. Bluetooth is kind of a b*ch when you trying connect devices. There is problems with versions used by devices, interference, etc. Below is compatibility list from Garmin for phones and other devices. But as real life shows, it doesn't mean they will always work flawlessly with each other. Probably reconnecting is only way to go, unless there is way to upgrade firmware in Nuvicam that may fix this issue.

This model Nuvicam has BT issues from day one. Garmin could never resolve it 100%. I have Nuvi 3597 which is older model than this and has flawless BT connectivity.
