Hopefully this update does in fact fix the constant connection issues we have been experiencing. More about this issue that this update is supposedly addressing is mentioned here:

Did the update but could not see any difference, then re-started the phone, now its OK.

SmartLink Unreliable

I had high hopes but mine still doesn't work right on my iPhone 7 Plus running the latest iOS. It seems to work fine after I forget the Bluetooth device on both the phone and the Garmin but then it doesn't auto connect. I even did a reset of the Garmin and the phone, works for a few trips and then fails. So annoying!

iPhone 6+ v11.3.1running smartlink v2.9.1
Since latest update on May 29/18, smartlink will not maintain bluetooth link with phone. Have to "forget" garmin and then reconnect with pin number, evertime. But the worse is I no longer have traffic updates. My garmin has LMT but I'm getting trapped in traffic with no notice that traffic is heavy to stopped bumper to bumper.

Other thing I wish smartlink could do is a distance search. On a long drive you want to search for gas or restaurants ahead. I find voice command useless and doesn't understand my voice (no accent) and annoying to try to punch in search on garmin in window. Wish smartlink would do a full search, or, have a way for a google search to send results to garmin.
