Keeping The Windmill Alive - Your Last Trip? – February 2018

In danger of losing your windmill?

Maybe you can share the last place your GPS took you and if you encountered any problems, or if you used it to seek out special places to go (like Thai Food, ice cream shoppes, etc.).

Anything to keep your windmill alive.

This thread will be closed on the last day of the month and a new one will be opened.

We would love to go some day. Just now we have to stay close by because of my mother's condition. Not looking good, but you never know.

As we get older a lot of us will go through this. At 99 she has a fractured hip. It never is easy.
Thanks.

Cupid Shuffle

Mary, tell your Mother that she is too old to be doing the Cupid Shuffle.

I say that tongue in cheek. I hope she can get comfortable and relief from the pain. That's a painful place to injure.

It's about the Line- If a line can be drawn between the powers granted and the rights retained, it would seem to be the same thing, whether the latter be secured by declaring that they shall not be abridged, or that the former shall not be extended.

To LA and back

A typical drive through Phoenix to LA for grandsons birthday.
First there was a 2 car crash with one straddling the guard rail facing traffic. Then there was a 3 car rearender and on the way back a 4 car crash with 2 down the embankment upside down and parts covering 3 lanes.

San Jose to Napa Valley

Went there on business yesterday. Beautiful weather although CA desperately needs rain.

Buy, or repair?

Fred

Might be worth talking to a good repairman. According to this guy,

http://cambieappliance.com/tips/

they don't make 'em like they used to.

I agree with him, based on my experience. Replaced a pump on an 18 year old knob & dial washer and it's still going strong like it's good for another decade or two.

Recall

Heading to the dealer for Takata airbag recall.

New Buffalo, MI

Weekend getaway.

Trip out the front door

Just before 8:00 am CST I got woke up by a strange noise. At 8:05 the whole house shook. 5.8 on the Richter scale.
Yup out the door!!!
