Plot GPS Travels on Map

We'll pick our "new to us" motorhome next month and want to keep an annual record of where we travel around the US.

I know I can download .gpx tracks from our Garmin RV 770 LMT-S. what software is best for plotting with the ultimate goal of producing a map for use on our blog?

Thanks

Floridarandy

I use

MapSource to view the tracks and they get superimposed on the map.
Maybe this is what you want?

If you wanted to use Google Maps you can convert the gpx file to a kml file using any number of programs that do that. Google "GPX to KML" and you'll get a number of conversion options. Then you can import the KML file into Google Maps using Google My Maps.

Google Earth

I have nearly every track I have laid down with my GPS units saved in a folder in Google Earth. I have used Map Source as well, but GE gives me more options to see the places we visited too.

Do you want

Do you want to create a map of pin points of locations you've visited or the routes you've taken?

You Can...

Download the tracks from your GPS to Mapsource or Basecamp and save the .gpx files. You can then import them into other programs like Google Earth for viewing or printing.

Many GPSr's have limited storage so be sure to download your tracks frequently to avoid them being over written.

Something .....

I have to try. Guess I did not even think about being able to do that from the GPS....need to check if I can do this with my RV 760 ...... Thanks!
