Chit Chat Thread For The Week Of September 11, 2017

I wish everyone in Florida a safe and uneventful recovery period. I can't imagine going through something like this. This is going to take a long time to recover from but I hope it goes as smoothly as possible for all of our neighbors from the great State of Florida. (On a personal note; I wish Mahoney well. I hope he is safe and able to get back on the site as soon as possible.)

I remember exactly where I was & what I was doing 16 years ago & will never forget that terrible tragedy.

I’m proud of the American people who never gave up, who always believed, who pursued & who succeeded 10 years later.

Wishing the best to all those affected by Irma. Please be safe out there.

Guess the hurricane made it to TN, been raining for a couple of hours. Glad we are nearly 1000 miles from where it first touched the USA in the Keys.

Hoping that the recovery efforts go better than expected. We were in the middle USA, so only getting a little rain. We were in the edge of a tornado in 2014, so understand the fear associated with extreme weather.

Our thoughts are with those in Florida and Texas impacted by the recent hurricanes. LOTS of efforts here in Calif to gather donations (physical and monetary) to send to those areas. One radio station group here was so overwhelmed by the amount of generosity that they are now soliciting extra truckers to haul the donated goods to those two states.

Got through with no damage. Just cleaned the old fronds from the palms. Did not lose power although 75% if county did. Luck was with us.
Best to all of those still coping with storms.

weather changes coming , leaves starting to turn weather man says about 3 days next week wont get above 62 and rain on it's way, we really need the rain !
