Memorial Day Remembrance

May we remember those who served and gave their lives to give us freedom and liberties in our great country.

“It is foolish and wrong

“It is foolish and wrong to mourn the men who died. Rather we should thank God that such men lived.” — General George S. Patton

“For love of country they accepted death.” — President James A. Garfield

It is up to us...

...to remember that freedom is never free. Someone has to pay the ultimate price for us to retain freedom. On this day, we shall remember those who have paid the price for us to remain free. Let us never forget those men and women who have paved the road of freedom for all of America.

Well Said

All the posts in this thread are well said and much appreciated by those who served or those with relatives who gave their lives for our country.

I find it a travesty however that our government honors our dead veterans and fails to properly care for the wounded survivors.

My brother is a wounded Survivor from Viet Nam

His care over the years has been very questionable. His records have been lost and found several times. He has resorted to a civilian doctor for care several times when his care gets so bad at the VA.

We will always remember those that served.

It is a rotten shame that the government doesn't take care of those that survived and are wounded.
