Map file names

Just found out that you could rename the map file names to any name you want without impacting functions.

This was tested on Garmin DriveLuxe 51 but it might work on other models.

I use a Micro SD card to store additional maps (such as Europe, Australia, etc.) The maps was put into "Garmin" folder. Instead of using the default file names like "gmapsupp.img", "gmapsupp1.img", etc., we could use meaningful names like:

2018.10-Europe-North.img
2018.10-Europe-South.img
2018.10-Europe-3D.img
2018.10-Aus-NZ.img
2018.10-Aus-NZ-3D.img
...

The GPS unit will retrieve the "real name" that was embedded in the files. Thus it doesn't matter what you name the files. You may name them foo1, foo2, foo3, etc., and GPS unit will still display the correct map names (like "Europe North").

Hope this helps!

Flexible map naming.

Yes, the flexible map naming was introduced with the nuvi 1xxx series back in 2009 as I recall. The older models (Street Pilots, nuvi 2xx, 3xx, 6xx, 7xx, 8xx, etc.) still have the restricted map naming conventions.
