DriveSmart 50 not displaying roads/streets

For the past couple of days, my DriveSmart 50 is intermittently not displaying minor streets/roads. They show when it initially starts, but disappear a few seconds later.
Any ideas out there in Garminland?
I would think zoom level.
Try zooming in closer and see what happens.

Happens on my 2689 as well
My 2689 seems to do that on occasion as well. It does seem to be related to the zoom level but it seems to have a mind of its own as to when or what to display.
Lives in Edmonton AB A volunteer driver for Drive Happiness.ca and now (since June 20 2021) uses a DS65 to find his clients.

On the map or on the up comming roads display when not in destination mode?
Does this behaviour exist when the GPS is directing you to a destination as well?

If I set a destination, it seems to be okay. Zooming in will show the minor roads/streets. However, wondering why this happened so suddenly. Have had the unit since Christmas and it has worked perfectly up until a couple of days ago. All roads/streets were visible unless I zoomed wayyyyy out. I normally don't touch the zoom level under everyday use.

A while back I had a issue like that, While driving the map roads would disappear but saw the land/water/places/etc.. I thought by doing a hard factory reset, it might fixed, so I backed it up and did the reset, and then reconfigured all my settings. I also removed all custom poi, ect. That did not fix it. So I hooked it up to my pc and re-downloaded all the maps and any other updates it needed. Once I did that, the issue stopped. So I think it was a corrupted map for what ever reason and re-downloading it worked for me.

I've just got a DriveSmart 50 and it seems to show minor streets without any issue, only lose them if zoomed out to 0.5 miles or further, and very pleased with the display, far clearer than my 2508 that it will now replace
Just wondering if a software update reset your Map detail, ensure it's set to More
