CD Slot Mount

I really like my Mountek nGroove 6000g CD Slot Mount, but now that I see this, I want to learn more about it. I must admit that I like the idea of triple ball mounting and having the opportunity to hold two devices.

Mountek nGroove Universal CD Slot Mount

I use the Mountek nGroove Universal CD Slot Mount for my cellphone and use Google Maps on the Android for local nav. Only on trips do I bother with the GPS and the suction cup is fine for that. I wouldn't want all that clutter on my dash. Carry Windex wipes in a moist plastic container and clean the windshield ring if you're worried about theft.

Interesting mount

The multiple ball mount is a plus to hold both the GPS and cell phone at the same time. Thanks for posting a link to it.

I have the single and was not aware there was a triple option. Thanks for posting

CD Slot Mount (Triple Ball Arrangement)

I am giving some thought, again, to getting one of these. Does anybody here use one of these mounts? It looks like it just inserts and there is no way to secure it from sliding out. For those that are familiar with this mount, is that a problem?

Great idea

This takes care of the legalities of windshield suction cup mounts, that was recently discussed on POI Factory.

I'm fortunate that I can use a suction cup on a spot above my radio, but I would seriously consider using this.

It's the only mount I use

It's the only mount I use anymore as it is the most secure of any I've tried. It has never slid out of the slot. You insert the mount and then tighten a thumb screw which opens the two pieces inside the slot so that they hold securely.

Agreed....

Thanks for posting the link.

Cool...

Thanks for the info.

Damage???

Not that I generally use the CD player in my truck but I have to wonder if this type of mount can damage the unit so that it malfunctions if I do want to play a CD. Has anybody who actually uses the CD player had a lot of experience with this type of mount?
