Backup trip in Garmin 2589LMT

Does anyone know if a planned trip in the Garmin 2589LMT using the "Apps" Trip Planner can be backed up so it can be transferred to another Garmin 2589LMT? If so how is it done?

... you could transfer it using BaseCamp. Or copy the file from the trips folder on your device. Note the trips folder is in the .system folder, which is hidden by default, so if you want to use that method you will need to set your computer to show hidden and system files and possibly your device to mass storage mode. How to do that is in the FAQ section.

Well, I just got an update
Well, I just got an update from Garmin for both 2589LMT units and now when you use the "Transfer" in the Garmin Express it now transfers all saved places AND any saved trips! It used to only transfer favorites. The key is that you must delete all the saved trips in the unit you are transferring to before you do the transfer.

Well ...
... BaseCamp will enable you to send one or more trips without deleting any so it depends what you really want to do. As I use BC for route planning I find it easier to send data using it, with the advantage having sent it I can check all is okay.
