Transfering favorites, addresses etc. to a new GPS

Hello all,

My trusty 1490LMT has finally given up on me after 6 years of loyal services.

I will buy a new Garmin GPS (58LMT) and I'm wondering if it's possible to transfer all of my favorites from the old GPS to the new one.

I found this method while searching althought it appears to be an old post

Will this method work in my case?

that the the old device will fire up when connected to the PC.

That method will work. I move my Favorite to my new 60LMTH. All transferred with no problem.
