New Dodge Journey

I was shopping online today for the new Dodge Journey and I see that the new Dodges come with Garmin Navigation... was wondering if anyone knows weather you can upload POI's on to the system or if it is a closed system that cant be altered?
not that would sway my decision to or not to buy a Dodge just thought I would pose the question.

Probably not

I spent most a year checking out the Journey (2014 model). I had downloaded an owner's manual, not a Journey, but another Chrysler with the large-screen 8.4AN system, and it explained how to load custom points into the system. I really liked the Journey, was all set to buy, then I drove a Durango and I was in love.

After bringing the D home, I downloaded the updated manual, and references to loading custom points was gone. I tried the method shown in the earlier version of the manual, with no luck. A couple of months ago, I called customer service with other questions, and asked about loading custom points, and the guy didn't think it was possible. I don't believe anything has changed with the Nav since then.

What Nav version?

I have a 2013 Jeep Wrangler (Chrysler) with a Garmin based UConnect 430N navigation system and I can download personal POI's to it with no problem, although there is a specific way to do it that differs from my Nuvi's and if you want to add more at a later time you have to reload all POI's as old custom ones are erased when adding more.

There are threads here on the factory detailing the different systems and how to load POI's.
