How do I simulate a route on my automotive device?
Simulating a route will show you how your device will navigate without you actually having to drive the route. Once you start a "simulation", your vehicle will move and your device will speak the turn-by-turn instructions as it travels.
To turn GPS simulator on:
nuvi 30, 40, 50, 200, 205, 465, 500, 700, 705, 800, 805, 1100, 1200, 1300, 1400, 1690, and 5000 series, zumo 220, 450, 550, 660 and 665 series:
1.Touch Tools
Skip this step on some devices
2. Touch Settings
3. Touch System
4. Touch GPS Simulator or the button below/next to it
5. Touch On
6. Touch Save and/or OK
With the GPS Simulator on, you may now simulate a route to a given destination.
If, however, you would like to simulate a route from a starting point other than your current location, then:
a. Go back to the main menu
b. Touch Where To?
c. Locate and select the starting point
d. Touch the Set Location or Set Loc button that appears on the bottom of the screen
Some devices require you to touch Map or Show map first
e.Return to the main menu and touch Where To?
f. Locate and select the desired destination
g.Touch Go!
Some devices require you to click Yes to simulate route
The device will now calculate a route from the "Set Location" point to the entered destination
dezl 560, LIVE 1695, nuvi 2200, 2300, 2400, and 3700 series:

c. Locate and select the starting point (address, POI, city, intersection, etc...)
d. Touch the 3 horizontal bars in the upper left corner
e. Touch Set Location
f. Return to the main menu and touch Where To?
g. Locate and select the desired destination
h. Touch Go!
The device will now calculate a route from the "Set Location" point to the entered destination
Camper/RV series, dezl 570, 760, 770, dezlCam, nuvi 55, 56, 57, 58, 60, 2405, 2407, 2408, 2505, 2507, 2508, 2509, 2609, 2707, 2708, 2709, 3400, 3500, 3507, and 3508 series, nuviCam, zumo 350, 390, and 590:
1. Touch Settings
2. Touch Navigation
3. Touch GPS Simulator to add a check mark in the box
4. Touch OK
With the GPS Simulator on, you may now simulate a route to a given destination.
If, however, you would like to simulate a route from a starting point other than your current location, then:
a. Go back to the main menu
b. Touch Where To?
c. Locate and select the starting point (address, POI, city, intersection, etc...)
d. Touch the info button (lower-case i)
e. Scroll down and touch Set Location
If the device does not give the Set Location option, follow the steps below then repeat the steps above:
f. Go back to the main menu
g. Touch View Map on some devices
h. Touch the Stop button (red stop sign with X) to stop the active route
The device will now indicate that your current location is that of the location entered in step two. To simulate a route from that set location, return to the main menu and enter in the destination. When asked if you would like to simulate driving the route, touch Yes.
nuvi 295W:
1. Touch Settings on the scroll bar
2. Touch System
3. Touch General
4. Touch the box under GPS Simulator
5. Touch On, then touch OK
With the GPS Simulator on, you may now simulate a route to a given destination.

e. Touch the menu button (three horizontal lines)
f. Touch Set Location
g. Return to the main menu and touch Where To?
h. Locate and select the desired location
i. Touch Go!
The device will now calculate a route from the "Set Location" point to the entered destination.
nuvi 300 series:
To simulate a route from your current destination:
1. Close the antenna on the back of the device
2. Touch Where to?
3. Touch Browse Map
4. Touch the desired location on the map for the starting point
5. Touch Set Loc. (Set Location) at the bottom of the map screen
6. Touch Back after your Vehicle Icon has moved locations
You can now create a route starting from your new location and simulate the route.
nuvi 600 series:
1. On the main menu touch the Wrench Icon
2. Touch System
3. Touch Simulator
4. Touch On
5. Touch OK
To simulate a route from your current location:
1. Touch Where To?
2. Touch Browse Map
3. On the screen, touch the location where you would like your starting point to be
4. Touch the Set Location at the bottom of the screen
You can now create a route starting from your new location and simulate the route.
