2016.20 and Basecamp and questions

I went to use my BaseCamp and it was GONE...
I plugged in Nuvi and opened Garmin Map Updater thinking I could get it there.
Garmin Updater said the 2016.2 map was ready to download so I said ok so I could get BaseCamp.

After all updated I did have BaseCamp. It is 4.4.6, is this the newest one?

Also It opened with Worldwide Autoroute and said it had limitations. I clicked on maps and found two 2014.2, one on my computer and one on Nuvi SD card.

BaseCamp asked me if I wanted to use the one on my computer as it world not have some limitations and would be faster. I said ok.

I noticed that my Nuvi 2450 also had the worldwide Autoroute on it internally. Has this always there?

Would anyone know why my BaseCamp was removed? Did Garmin do this?

I suspect Windows 10, I still have Windows 7 but Windows 10 tried to install without my permission and my computer crashed and when I went to boot it up it said can not boot.... After several tries the computer booted up. This may have been when BaseCamp disappeared. I wonder what else is not there. The shortcut on my desktop was there but there was no program connected to it.

One question answered

On my second opening of BaseCamp I was given the latest update.
4.5.2

I was able to install 4.5.2 just fine.

Basecamp

Basewcamp 4.4.6 is the latest version that you can install AKAIK. When I open it the program reports that there is an update to 4.5.2.1 but it fails to update with a "File is Corrupt" error message. rolleyes

I suspect your computer crash caused your Basecamp issue as Windows 10 and Basecamp work fine together.

It has to be the computer crash, as I have BaseCamp 4.5.1 running on it with no trouble. Now that I have it open I wonder if I'll get that "File is corrupt" error you're mentioning.

EDIT: No errors. Updated to 4.5.2.1 without trouble.
