I picked up Nuvicam few days ago and ran into bluetooth issues with iPhone 6. I have heard it was a known issue with iPhone 6 or IOS 8.x.
I connected with my iPhone 6 for few minutes then Messages pops up on Nuvi screen "IOS service disconnected... your iPhone got disconnected."
It is not stable at all. I will appreciate any feed back on this issue.
It Appears
The Nuvicam can be added to the list of Garmin devices that have bluetooth issues with IO 8.x

Some posters at the above link had some success by calling Garmin support at 1-800-800-1020.
In case you haven't seen this, Garmin offers the following FAQ on the subject:

Thanks for your feedback.
Thanks for your feedback. Bluetooth pairing is not an issue. It pairs nicely with my iPhone 6 but after pairing successfully, it would disconnect for no reason and won't reconnect until you reboot nuvicam.
Again it appears to be Garmin issue because my Nuvi 3597 connects flawlessly. Garmin FAQ is not helpful because it just shows you how to pair Nuvi with your phone.
I even tried to open ticket via Garmin web site. I was surprised that nuvicam was not even listed in the devices list. So I will have call them on Monday.

Looks like I found the resolution but I still don't like the fix.
Here is how I resolved the issue:
1. Cleared bluetooth history on the Nuvi and Iphone.
2. Re-paired Nuvicam with Iphone from phone and not from Nuvicam side.
3. Kept the bluetooth connection for phone calls enabled.
Now Iphone 6 is connecting flawlessly.
looks like IOS services disconnect start happening more when you disable iphone for phone calls. I am using it in my car since yesterday morning and it connecting without any issues.
But I don't want to use Nuvicam for phone calls. That is where the problem is. I have built-in Bluetooth in my other car, it was giving me problems in that car. So if I leave bluetooth phone calls feature on, then it is lot stable.

Worth A Look
I had a similar issue with the Bluetooth on my RV 760 cutting out which was solved by changing the pairing procedure as outlined in the Garmin FAQ link I posted. The FAQ was updated on 6/25/15 to include the Nuvicam so I thought it might be worth a look.
Apparently, yours is a different issue which you are having some success in resolving.
Thanks for your feedback.
Thanks for your feedback. Actually, it was this Bluetooth FAQ ( the link you provided) where I read something about passive pairing. What it means that you start the BT pairing from your phone and select Nuvi as device to be paired. This is what I did and seems to be working lot better now. I had issue only once yesterday when I got message "IOS service is disconnected".

Just an update on the Bluetooth issue on Nuvicam and iPhone 6.
After initiating the pairing request from Iphone 6 to Nuvi, it resolved the issue. It is no more disconnecting from iphone with the message "IOS services disconnected" anymore.
There is still one issue though. If I un-select use iphone for phone calls, then it disconnects again. Looks like I have to report it to Garmin for a fix in their future updates.

Nuvicam Bluetooth
The Nuvicam is unbelievably unstable! I have tried everything I can think of and everything Garmin has suggested. I can occasionally get it to connect to my Iphone but if the link is ever broken there is almost no chance they will reconnect.
I consider it to be a $409.00 boat anchor at this point.
Do not buy Garmin products!!!
always be careful

Always be careful when pointing fingers. You need to remember there are three pointing back at you. Apple's implementation of Bluetooth has always had problems with Garmin. I suspect it is caused by "enhancements" to the Bluetooth standards that work with Apple's proprietary coding.

Well, I have Nuvi 3597 for two years and never had BT issues like Nuvicam with iphone. It is the same phone and same OS 8.4 connects smoothly with 3597 but lots of issues with Nuvicam.

Here is the workaround which works me. I still get the disconnect but after unchecking/re-checking the Bluetooth under Settings fix the issue. It needs "Phone Call" option checked.
Go to Settings ->iPhone -> select Phone calls. This will start the IOS service and should stay stable for some time.
I hope this helps..
