After all the really good stuff JM does for us that we know about and all the other stuff JM does for the whole lot of us,I think we should
CREATE A PETITION FOR JM TO BE A COW
He should be adorned with many COW bells!
He should have his favoritetender turf brought in for his grasing pleasure! (At least for a week!)
He should be allowed to MOO and CREATE as much methane as possible for a week (even if it should make the rest of us weak in the knees)
So let's all sign the petition for JM to be a COW.
How about it fellow factory collegues? Just step right up and sign this here pettion. They can't ignore all of us!

One More Vote For JM
I have given my vote.
If this is considered to be a conflict of interest on JM's part, he may have to relinquish his authority over COW, to his loyal followers for One Week.
I recommend that BarneyBadass be named "Temporary Supreme Ruler of All That is Sacred and Honourable".
The rest of us will be Barney's Loyal Minions for One Week.

JM!
JM you are a moo moo!
BarneyBadass
BarneyBadass - Why don't you start a our own monthly user given award and the first month elect Jim.
Each month you can start the Award Post and take monthly votes for a week and see who gets the award from the users each month.
Just an idea...

JM as a COW...
"Hay"... I don't want to "horn" in... "butt" I "udder" at the thought that JM isn't a COW.
We've "herd" BB's call to us saying JM is one of the "cream" of the crop here.
Remember... it's no "bull" that JM should get the vote seeing he's a very "stable" one.
We need to "milk" this for all we can.
I know BB wouldn't "steer" us in the wrong direction, so let's "hoof" it a little bit faster and "corral" all the votes we can.
I realize my post is at the "tail" end of this thread... and I don't have a "beef" with those who haven't voted yet, but we need to "moo"ve the vote right along.

I'm not really lost.... just temporarily misplaced!
Udderly "Hill" larious
"Hay" Nuvi1300WTGPS. I found your thread to be "Udderly Hill-Larious". You've managed to "Milk" the metaphor for all it's worth.
"Barn"ey Badass should be most appreciative.

JM as COW
Hello.

I have made JM aware of this thread.
He doesn’t feel it’s appropriate for him to be the COW.
I offered to honor him as this week’s Bull, Donkey or Chicken, but unfortunately he did not appear pleased with any of those suggestions either.
He appreciates the sentiment, but would like to keep with our long standing tradition of reserving this award for volunteer members of our community.
Thank you all for your continued support and participation.

I think that sentiment was udderly ridiculous. The COW award was envisioned as a means of recognizing those that do significant contributions and Jon fixed a problem that had vexed some users for quite a while. While perhaps in keeping with the tradition those involved with the daily operations of the site shouldn't accept the awards meant for the users, the users are the ones nominating Jon for the award and not something he would normally accept if offered by the other sysops, this request is different as it is the users requesting the award.

Anyone remember,
"If I am nominated I will not run and if elected I will not serve!" ?

Sounds

Anyone remember,

I believe it was cattle rancher LBJ who said in 1968, "I shall not seek, and I will not accept, the nomination of my website for a term as your COW."
Doesn't matter. We'll keep milking this proposal until the COWs come home: JM for COW
Can I make "JMoo On" my signature? Yes I Can!

Actually William Tecumseh Sherman said it pretty close to your way, so I wasn't really trying to fence you in or brand you as incorrect, I was just making hay over the fact that a cattle rancher said something similar.
Tecumseh's quote:

Sherman was first
But the quotation from Lyndon Johnson is accurate also.
Just goes to show that almost 100 years apart, two prominent people can be mooooved by similar thoughts - albeit for very different reasons.
