Can't Sign onto Garmin "MyAccount"

Hi. Anyone else have problems trying to sign onto the Garmin "MyAccount" site?

I tried resetting my password several times but it still won't sign me in.

Thanks.

No problem here

I can sign in. Try again in a while and see if it was just a short term glitch.

Same here, no problem

Same here, no problem signing in.

Do you also visit the Garmin forum site? Garmin uses the same login credentials on their forum as they do on the my.garmin site. Their software that handles this does not work consistantly well and can sometimes prevent logging into my.garmin if you have used the forum site. This happens to me quite frequently. The solution is to log out of the forum, then retry the login to my.garmin. Alternatively, you can sometimes click on the "myDashboard" tab on the my.garmin logon screen (even tho you aren't logged in). Then on the dashboard page, click "Sign out". Now go back to the my.garmin login screen and it will accept your login.

This is another example of the convoluted programming we sometimes see in Garmin software.

There might be a problem

Not that I'm expecting a map update on a Monday, but I did do a check.I got a "Sorry, we're having a problem with communication with our servers."

Perhaps they are gearing up for a map update and doing a pre-launch tune up of the servers.

Edit: just checked again, and got the usual "You're up to date."

THANKS ! That did it. When I looked at the "My Dashboard" it showed I was signed in, yet still showed I was not signed in when I went to the "Home" screen.

So I signed out and then signed back in, and I had access to everything in "MyAccount".

Regards

Glad it worked!

I am glad that worked Pratzert. I have found if I sign into my.garmin.com first and stay signed in before I bring up the Garmin forum, I don't seem to have the problem. You would think Garmin could fix this ... but then, it's Garmin wink

There are issues that are being addressed, so they say

Garmin Connect also has some big problems, many people can not get into Garmin Connect, and this spills over to myGarmin.

And Garmin Express is strange... I have three Garmin devices, and when I go to check for updates, one device receives update errors due to server problems, and the other two appear to check for updates just fine.

The saga continues.

"It's Garmin"........ True Dat !

Seems whenever they fix one problem, their "fix" creates two new problems.

MyGarmin

I had the same problem and after Garmin customer service reset my account password twice with no relief, they advised me to delete the cookies on my computer. That fixed it.

I tried that, too. But it turned out that my laptop was Lactose-Intolerant.
