shocking news

These are shocking statistics for a program that touts safety.

With those kind of

With those kind of statistics, it's hard to see how local politicians keep their jobs!
Utterly irresponsible.
They, first, need to find out why it's happening by having folks on-site to watch a few, then shut the system down to stop the disaster they've created.

Voters don't want tax increases. Most voters don't want services reduced. Politicians thought RLC would be an easy sell. Increased safety. No up front costs. Sign a contract and split the revenues.

Greed is the issue. Make the ticket price more reasonable, under $50. Don't pay games with the amber light timing. You'd still get $$$ but (probably) a lot less complaints.

Thanks for the Info

Thanks, I always find this issue interesting.

wow. that's a interesting

wow. that's a interesting research

No surprise really.....

These are revenue generators. They tout safety and manipulate data to make it appear they make intersections safer and alter timing of yellow lights to increase revenue. What a recipe.

yes, they are

but from whom are they generating their revenue? Last time anyone checked it was from drivers failing to come to a complete stop or encroaching into an intersection against the light or even still those exceeding the posted speed limit which every agrees is wrong.

unscientific

data, it's truly unbelievable.

How about this one. What happens, when an intersection that used to have a stop sign, gets a red light. Accidents increase?

Anyone who cannot understand how a traffic signal works, plain and simple, should not be driving.

Huh?

This is the internet, and the truth is out there. As a physician, I now go to forums and conduct polls to see which is the best drug for my patients. I can get the answer a lot faster this way, than to wait for scientists to conduct studies which takes years.

Not that clear

People got RLC cameras for not stopping a full 5 seconds before turning right on red. A poster in a different forum got a speeding ticket for driving 34 in a 30 zone.

Where did you pick up this load of crap?

And just where did you pick up this load of crap? Probably off the Internet because someone else said it. There is no law on the books of any city, county, state or tribal nation that states anything other than you must come to a complete stop before turning right on red where permitted.
