Garmin has the apps for Advanced Weather for $3 and Garmin Live Traffic for $12 on sale until 10/17/14. That's 40% off. Available on the Apple App Store and Google Play.

I have used the Live Traffic and find it better than the built-in traffic. Gives more up to date traffic conditions and has been very accurate in my travels between PA and Maine.

It's only available for iPhone and some Android phones but seems to be unavailable for Windows phones

Just added Premium Weather just for grins, for the cost of a cup Starbucks coffee. smile

One of the features of the Smartphone Link that I use often is the Live Traffic. I use it to check the traffic conditions on alternative routes choices before I get into the car. I found that it provides reasonable accurate traffic information as the HD traffic receiver that comes with my 3597.

I am using it on my Android phone for more than a year now and love it. I am switching my phone to Iphone 6 plus. SO perfect timing to buy it on Apple store at discounted price.

Weather is a joke! Better weather free on my Android.
Thankfully it was just 3 bucks! Got the traffic also, not impressed by it.

I have advance weather and found their swear weather warnings etc pretty accurate. Advance weather will only kick in when there is any swear weather approaching.

I found Smart Link traffic

I found Smart Link traffic lot superior than any other form. I have tried it US and in Canada. It works pretty good. In Toronto they have added traffic flow info for major streets as well. It is not perfect but still lot superior than FM or HD traffic. HD is good only when it is available but it not available everywhere and does not have a long range. This is my personal experience with this technology.
