2014 Toyota Sienna OEM Nav does not work in Alaska

Hi,

New here and trying to get the value out of an option I paid for only to find out that it doesn't work in Alaska.

The 2014 Toyota Sienna I bought has an OEM navigation system (I believe its a Kenwood Deck) that does not include Alaska Maps. And the dealership/Toyota has been relatively useless in helping saying they don't have an update that includes Alaska.

Needless to say, I've been finding these DVD updates (My Toyota asks for an HD update disc) and a little correspondence to say the "Generation 6" versions include Alaska. But to date, they only show 2011-2012 models being compatible for those updates.

Has anyone updated their 2013-2014 Sienna's or other Toyota models with these DVD's and can you check to see if Alaska is in fact included. I did get a marginal cash refund from Toyota since this was not disclosed at sale. And I have a Tom Tom that works well. And even my KIA had Alaska maps.

Hoping someone here might have the same issue and can shed some light on my probs.

Andy

Kenwood map updates would be available on the Garmin site

If it is actually a Kenwood head unit the map updates would be available on the Garmin site.

https://kenwood.garmin.com/kenwood/

I know the Chrysler units use garmin interface but do not know about Toyota.

Uses maps from Here (formerly Navteq) and going to Here's site and selecting Toyota updates only takes you to Toyota's web site.
