What exactly does it mean when u have a 'Windmill' badge?!

So I checked my account and I now have a 'Windmill' badge.
I think it's a big deal on this forum if you have this badge but what exactly does it mean and what benefits do you get because of it?

Camera Files

You mean other than keeping company with the great members of this site? wink You get to download the weekly red light and speed camera files without paying a subscription fee.

It means you are an active user on the site and have posted at in at least 3 of the last 5 weeks. Some additional content such as the camera files are now available without fee.

A heads up

Just a heads up for you, timbit. Note that the Active User and General Maintainer badges (windmill and two stars) are not permanent but refer to your ongoing recent activity (messages, etc.) and can be lost with inactivity on the site.

You can monitor your activity by going to your "My account:"

Wait a sec...I thought the windmill meant you were Dutch, but that can't be right because I'm actually Russian. And here I thought I was here amongst my fellow Dutch GPS fanatics. I guess I need to spend a bit more time here to get a feel for the place. I feel so lost...but now I remember I have a GPS. Can I drive to Holland from SoCal?

don quixote

actually windmills remind of don quixote and sancho panza.

it basically says that

it basically says that you're active and can get access to the red light camera files. If you are active enough, you get stars which means you have general maintainer status and you don't need to post as much. Which is great, because there are weeks I feel I'm making a post just to make a post!

Oops... ;)

What do you get
