The long way on POI Files

I opened my eyes a little wider just now when I was looking for a POI file and had an epiphany.
But first, let me admit what I have been doing in the past.
Often we have some member who is having trouble with a specific POI file * (see below) and I want to check it out to see if I get the same error/problem. So I click on the blue "POI Files" Tab in the upper right pane to get the " POI Files For United States & Elsewhere" dialog. I then scroll down until I can click the "View all POI files (listed alphabetically)" link. I then scroll down until I find the specific POI file I am looking for and download it.
What I saw today was a button called "Search for POI Files". It has always been there but I guess my mind was made up as to how I needed to navigate to get what I wanted.
Had I pushed the "Search for POI Files" button and typed in "Mom and Pop" what would have appeared first in the search results returned to me was exactly what I wanted, which was:
* BBQ Restaurants Mom And Pop Locations Error http://www.poi-factory.com/node/42347
Felt pretty foolish when I saw that, but maybe there will be others that will benefit from my foolishness.
Thanks
I saw the search for poi button a good while ago. Sometimes I forget it is there.

Good heads-up
Thanks, jgermann. I've always searched for specific POI files exactly the same way you've been doing it all this time. It just never occurred to me that there might be a better way. I love it when I learn something new. (I'm easily impressed.)

Sometimes going the long way you find things that are of interest as you look for your original poi.
I've never used that feature
I've never used that feature because I am usually just browsing the files to see whats new but I can see how usefull it could be.
The long way on POI Files
Thanks for the reminder.
Thanks
Never dawned on me either. An easy way to locate. One further thing that would help is if everyone reporting a POI take the time to list the Town or Hamlet in addition to the State. That would make it much easier to accurately list and then find the info.

I generally agree but some files have no town or hamlet associated with them. Rest Areas, camping sites, and gas stations along the highway come to mind.
What POI files prompted you to make the comment?
