nuvi 855 losing speed limit display

Could it be the streets don't have a SL programmed yet?

But I would try a hard reset. It is surprising how often a hard reset on a nuvi will fix unexpained probems.

Did you upgrade your map or firmware?
If not, then I think alandb's suggestion of a hard reset may solve the issue,
If the map was updated, then perhaps the newer map did not include the streets in question. The speed limits are embedded in the map.

A cold boot will often fix many problems with that series without going through the restorations needed from a reset. Pop the battery, wait 10 seconds, put battery back and power up. You should see a wide narrow box slowly fill with white as the system fully boots.

Agree a hard reset or maybe time to upgrade your device if you can

I purchased a used 2460 that appeared to work well. Didn't check the voice portion, just thought the volume was turned off. Turns out there was no voice. Factory Reset and all was well.

Has been working fine since 2015.1 upgrade - no other changes. Will try soft reset first and hard if necessary.
