Change Registration Email Address

I registered my second GPS to the wrong email address. I have no way of accessing that unit in myGarmin because is uses my primary email addy ... the one I should have used. Since I did not create an account when registering the unit is not available to me on myGarmin.
I contacted Garmin with this issue and the tech said that he/she transferred the unit to my primary email. Well, either they didn't or it didn't work.
Anyone, have experience with this?
sometimes it takes
2 or 3 calls to get it accomplished. That's been my experience.

Solution to Registering GPS
After numerous emails, there is a solution, though not from Garmin. Tech said that they contacted the previous owner via email and since there was no response that they had de-registered that account and moved it over to mine. Went to myGarmin and the unit was not registered. Grrrrr!
Here was the solution: I removed the unit from GE, reconnected and the registration option was present ... finally. I registered and the unit immediately showed up in myGarmin. Not so sure that this process wouldn't have worked in the first place. Maybe if someone else may want to register a used unit, they would give this a try.

If the process were that simple, thieves would easily be able to register stolen units. I’ve sold 6 Garmin units on Ebay over the last 2 years that I had previously registered. In each case, it was necessary for me to un-register the unit before the buyers could re-register them.
It’s been my experience that once the registration has been removed, anyone can re-register the unit either by GE or My Garmin. If you try and register a unit already in Garmin’s database, you get an error message to that effect.
I suspect the Garmin rep you spoke with removed your old unwanted registration but didn’t follow through and re-register it to your account.
