A camera in a Nuvi 765t???

I played with my Nuvi 765t yesterday and suddenly there was a picture of a camera in the top right corner of the screen. When I pressed on it it made a sound line a camera taking a picture. Any ideas?

Screen shot.

Somehow you turned on the "screen shot" feature. That allows you to capture the current screen image and saves it as a .JPG file. It is used primarily for documentation and support, and is popular for posting images in GPS forums (not this one of course, which has no support for images).

I don't know how the feature would be necessary, but got my attention!

Screen Shot.

The .JPG images end up in the \Garmin\Screenshot folder. The feature is turned on or off by following the menus: Tools > Settings > Display > Screen Shot.

It's quite useful for us "GPS nerds" that like to nitpick about map/screen detail and make comparisons between different models and how they display maps & map details (among other things). cool

Used for Map error

I used it a while back to report a map that has a street misnamed. Works well. I didn't notice the oops! at first because it was a few blocks from home and don't pay much attention to the streets until I get further on my route. Found the error while working on a POI setup on Simulation mode.
