Adding 3D Maps to Garmin 2555LMT

Hello, my Garmin 2555LMT comes with 3D traffic but no 3D maps. Would anyone know if there is a way to get 3D maps on this device? Thanks.

2555 has 3D maps

I just checked my NUVI 2555 LMT and it offers 3 options under Map & Vehicles-Driving Map View. "Track Up"; "North Up"; "3D".

Is that what you're looking for?

p.s. Welcome to the site. You might find some helpful hints by going to the upper right corner and clicking on "Learn".

I think

I think he means 3D terrain maps

Probably not

Welcome to The Factory, jeremybmf.

The nuvi 2555 lists the following in its specs for the 2555:

3-D terrain view: No
3-D buildings and landmarks view: No

Even if you were to obtain one or both of these map files, I strongly doubt that the nuvi 2555's firmware could make use of them. To have either of these likely requires buying a nuvi that offers these features. Having recently purchased a 3597, I will say that the 3D terrain map (DEM: digital elevation map) addition adds some pizzazz to the display, but really it doesn't offer much in terms of usefulness to the owner--and I live in an area with mountains and canyon's, etc. Flatlanders may see very little pizzazz even if they have a nuvi that offers the 3D terrain.

I resemble that remark

But then, you compensate by having Tim Horton's and poutine, right? twisted

Poutine to many Canadians is something like Greek Chili to Cincinnatians (or ex-Cincinnatians). PS--Skyline® is the only way to go for Greek chili in the US--I recommend the 4-way plus a cheese coney with onions...skip dessert but add the salad if available.

greek chili sounds terrific

That's true. We do have Timmie's and Poutine.

This Greek Chili sounds delicious. Gonna have check it out the next time we're in the States.

One of my favorite Horton's visits was one morning when I queued up behind about four RCMP constables in Yukon Territory. Donuts and law enforcement are universal apparently...

Greek Chili: it's pretty much limited to Greater Cincinnati, Southeast Indiana and (due to retired Ohioans?) Florida.
