Flying J POI

I downloaded the Flying J POI for Garmin. I'm now skeptical about it's accuracy because it doesn't even have my local Flying J in North East, MD. Any help here?

from where?

You stated you downloaded the Flying J file but from where? The separate Flying J files on this site are out of date as they were combined into the Truck Stop files maintained by DonaldB530 and are no longer maintained as separate files.

From This Site

Downloaded from POI-Factory.com under Flying J POI and it states "updated 3/4/2014".

Truck Stop/RV file

This file dose not show my local Flying J either. My local Flying J has been there for 15 years or longer.

you're right

You're right. The Northeast location should be there as it is on the website. Send a note to the maintainer by clicking on his name and following the contact prompts.

POI

the poi file is available from the Pilot flying J web site, in XLS, CSV, and TXT file formats

not really

Have you looked at the files? The CSV is actually an RTF and the txt file is unformatted plain text. The XLS requires the ability to format and use Extra_POI_Editor to put into a format for use by POI Loader.

Just because a site says they have a CSV doesn't even imply it can be used without editing before loading into your GPS.

said it was directly useable in a gps, not all csv files are the same

Flying J

Please submit the Flying J's that are missing. I go to their web-site once or twice a month and go through the whole list. Plus I get the free magazine from Flying J and compare their data to mine.

Flying J

There are 2 .gpx files. One is Pilot/FlyingJ and the other Truck Stop file contains Pilot,FJ,Loves,TA,Petro, etc.
