Tracks in a nuvi 850?

Is there any way to load tracks into an 850 and have them display as normal trip logs?
I've done "tracks" downloads with Mapsource (at least Mapsource says it downloaded them) but nothing actually downloads. Trying to upload them back into Mapsource produces the message "no tracks exist".
I've plugged in a micro card w/tracks but they don't display.
Is their a file in the 850 GPS that contains the trip logs generated during normal driving along routes that I can load my tracks into?

I assume you are asking about a Garmin nuvi 850? AFAIK, no nuvi models support track import. Some of the handheld models do. The nuvi 850 supports import of waypoints and routes but not tracks.

I don't have an 850, mine is an 855. I have never tried loading tracks, but have successfully downloaded tracks many times. In the 855 the downloadable tracks are stored as part of the Garmin\GPX\Current.gpx file. I believe that the track data may additionally be stored in another file on the GPS. There have been instances after a spontaneous re-boot of my 855 where the tracks appear to be missing, but when I remove the battery and then reboot the missing tracks reappear in the current.gpx file.

You can export tracks from a nuvi 8xx via current.gpx, but you can't import them.
