Red light camera for Tom Tom Via

And at the bottom of that page is a FAQ explaining how to use the files for Tom Tom.

FWIW, I happen to have a TomTom GO LIVE 1535 and having been using the red light camera files from here on it (and on my XXL540) for a couple of years with no problems.

Good point. You can use both the files from TomTom and the files from here on your GPS at the same time. I've been doing it for quite a while with no problems. Most of the time they both show up - which is no problem - but occasionally one provides an alert that the other does not.

the weekly updates are great. as soon as a new camera pops up, its on the update soon thereafter

I thought Tom Tom has automatic red light camera updates.

The update from tomtom are a paid subscription service.

It must be different for models
I have 1 and go in Canada, and a via in Aus that the rlc are lifetime free
and 1 go that they arent
I don't just copy the rlc from the free go to the not-free go, that would be "wrong"

Tom Tom have an annual subscription for safety cameras for via1535, it include red light cameras.

It was cheaper to buy a unit with lifetime updates than buy a map

I have been getting free updates since day one, but I believe that updates have not been free for the 1535 if it was purchased in Europe - and possibly other countries as well.
