Clear Channel HD Traffic

About a month ago, my nuvi 765t was stolen, so I bought a nuvi 3490lmt that came with HD traffic from Navteq. I ended up buying a clear channel traffic subscription to supplement traffic reporting because I live in Baton Rouge, LA, which is not covered by Navteq, but is covered by Clear Channel. When I first started using the nuvi with clear channel, I was getting only the standard FM RDS traffic, which we all know is not the best and most up-to-date. A few days ago, I noticed on the clear channel traffic coverage area web page that Baton Rouge, LA has HD traffic available from Clear Channel using the 102.5 radio station: http://www.totaltraffic.com/index.php/solutions/2013-04-02-1...
When I saw this, I remembered that I have an HD traffic receiver, so therefore, I thought to myself, "Shouldn't I be able to receive HD traffic from Clear Channel?" Well, turns out that, with some experimentation, I discovered that there is such a thing as HD Clear Channel Traffic this morning. I had to manually tune the traffic receiver to the 102.5 HD radio station, which was not a very easy process, but after that was done, I all of a sudden started receiving traffic flow information on secondary roads and surface streets, which had not been available when I was just using the standard FM RDS clear channel traffic just a few days before. For those that have a clear channel traffic subscription and also have an HD traffic receiver, make sure to go and check your coverage area page (see the link I posted) to see if you have an HD station that you can tune to in your area in order to receive HD traffic from clear channel.

How to manually tune to a certain station

Thanks for the info.

Here are the steps to manually tune the traffic receiver to a specific radio station:
1. Go to the volume screen
2. Press and hold the top right corner of the screen. After about 5 seconds, the diagnostic menus will appear
3. Press Developer Info
4. Scroll down to the Traffic Receiver Status menu
5. You will then see which station the receiver is tuning to at that given moment. Click on the menu bar icon in the top left hand corner of the screen.
6. You will then be presented with 4 options, 2 of them being "test rds" and "test HD." Choose "test rds" if you're trying to tune to a normal fm station and choose "test HD" if you want to manually tune to an HD station. When you click either option, you will then have the opportunity to enter the radio station frequency (eg 102.5).

KEEP THE FOLLOWING IN MIND:
1. Once you manually tune to an FM station, at least with the most current firmware, whenever you power down the GPS and then turn it back on, the traffic receiver will always default to the radio station you have it manually set to. The only way to get it to not manually default to that certain radio station you just entered is to "clear all user" data using the diagnostics page. This is obviously a pain because the receiver will still try to manually tune to the station, I think even if you're no where near the coverage area.
2. I have a 3490LMTHD with the latest firmware, but the steps I just listed may be different across models.

On the 2103 series (25x7,35x7, etc)
Select "Traffic receiver dashboard" after step 3. Then
tap the three-horizontal-bar menu button to bring up the selection menu. And then follow step 6 to set the station manually.
