Can a Scratched Screen be fixed?

I have a Garmin Nuvi 2455LMT that has a deep scratched in the lower right side of the screen.

The touch screen still works but when I touch the part of the screen, you def can feel it. Also You sure can see it.

Is they a way to "Calm" the scratch down or even hide or fix it anyway?

If I can, I will just live with it since the Device still works great!

It Works!

I have found that I can cover display screen scratches with a screen protector, specifically with the Zagg products (www.zagg.com). They have numerous products, including protectors for Garmin GPSs. It not only protects against future scratches, but hides current scratches as well. You might try it.

If you are technically

If you are technically inclined you can replace the LCD screen and/or just the touch screen that is glued on top of the LCD screen with adhesive (this is probably the part that's scratched since it's plastic). I did this to my nuvi 660 a couple of years ago, some of those units have touch screens that fail. It still works today! Ordered a new touch screen on ebay for less than $15 and popped it in. The touch sensitive part is also called a digitizer and is available seperately sometimes. It's not hard to do but the connectors are small and fragile.

If you're not inclined to do that, there is a guy on here (Sharcnet I think) who will do it for you. Never used him but most people seem to be happy with his work and prices are fair.
Here is a quick link for a screen I found on ebay but there are other ways you can get them:

Hope this may be of help to you.
