I thought AZ removed cameras

I thought they weren't using them any more.

Santa Fe

Santa Fe has 3 mobile units whose locations are listed in the local daily newspaper as well as the city's web-site.

The AZ State did remove them but cities are using them (more and more I should say.)

These units sound like speed cameras. If the city and police department post the locations AND specify the times of operation, you would think that drivers would not speed in those areas.

Maybe getting a ticket for these locations is the first step towards receiving a Darwin Award.

Why we have to check daily

Why we have to check daily where they will be is another thing that makes me wish I was born back in the 1800's.

Well,

They didn't issue speeding tickets to horses and there were no stop signs either.

The Good Old Days

Life expectancy in the US was less than 40 in 1880. Of course, that was distorted because death before one year of age was around 30%.

Personally, I like the present just fine grin

Radar vans

Wish we had some of these on LI. Dumb a**es routinely run thru stop signs, speed in school zones, run red lights, etc. Cops are nowhere to be found.

These units sound like speed cameras...

Yes they are.
There is one location on a well traveled road just a block from my house. They set up across from an elementary school and the speed limit is normally 25. It drops to 15 in the morning and afternoon when the kids are heading in or heading home.

Many of the locations the vans set up are recurring, so its easy enough to use the webpage I cited to set up a poi file if one needs it.
