Traffic pop up on Garmin 3597

Mine does the same thing. I just leave pop up traffic display on all the time.

How do you leave the pop up display on? Is there a setting?

Please touch three bars in bottom right side of the screen and then touch on Traffic icon.

If you don't see Traffic icon there then go to SETTINGS, Select MAP TOOLS and select Traffic.

I sent email to Garmin support but I know nothing will come out of it.

I also sent an email to garmin tonight. We'll see if they respond to our emails. Probably not.

Thanks for sending them email. I already got their useless response back to update software. I replied back that I already have latest software 3.8. Let us see what they say next.

Yup that's what I received too. A junk copy and paste email ask me to update to new software blah blah blah.

Finally, got a ticket opened with Garmin to troubleshoot the issue. I had send them screenshots with arrows and bubbles to explain the problem otherwise they were not understanding the issue.

I have not seen the popup for traffic ahead on the road unless I have programmed a destination. I will get a warning about the length of the delay and how far away it is. It often is very far away and disappears long before I get near that spot.

If it helps your case, want to let you know that the traffic pop-ups work my 2595. They work while navigating a route but also if you're just driving along and approaching a problem up ahead. I only recently discovered the latter and was quite surprised by it. I was on my way to work and had the unit on after the recent FW upgrade and got a pop-up warning there was stop-an-go traffic and delays up ahead. It warned me about a mile ahead of time and showed the red line along the route as I approached the tie-up.

Hello...Is there a list of cities that the Traffice features works for on my Garmin 3597. I know it' large major cities but so far I haven't had any luck.

If your talking about the HD traffic feature that comes with the 3597LMTHD then the list is at http://www8.garmin.com/traffic/

Click on the View Coverage tab under the HD Digital Traffic section.

looks like you have manually triggered it, otherwise it should disappear after there no traffic on your route.

I think you are referring to HD traffic. Again, traffic is covered in bigger cities only. We were talking about new traffic pop up feature in 3597. Some times it works and some times it does not.
