Harley Riders - Post your POI's

KC4TTV -- I have a similar interst in Sturgis. Would you mind sharing what POI's you've accumulated? I have not tried downing POIs in my Garman eTrex, but would be interested in Stugis for August '07.

I would be interested in POIs from the Canadian side to Sturgis.

I HAVE THE HARLEY DAVIDSON DEALERS POI. I PURCHASED IT, BUT AM WILLING TO SHARE IT. MY ONLY CONCERN IS, WOULD IT BE "COPY WRITED" TO THE POINT THAT I COULD GET IN TROUBLE FOR POSTING IT?

I have downloaded the files for harley dealers. But now my question is, how do i bring up the dealers when i want to go to one of them on a trip? I can't find them in a directory. What i'm doing is trying to find the dealers so i can go directly to one on a trip or even make a stop at one as a way point.Can i make them in a folder that shows up when i look at "my locations" or" auto services "?

I assume when you say you d/l these files, that they are either in .csv or .gpx form. If this is correct then you should be able to load them with POI loader. If they are not, then you need to create either a .csv file to be able to load those sites with POI loader.
If you need help in this area, just do a search for POI and you will find loads of info how to do this.

After you have downloaded them to your GPS with POI Loader, they can be located at this location:

Where to? > My Locations > Custom POIs

Each GPS has them in a slightly different location. JM has listed the location for each GPS model when you select GPS Models below the tabs at the top of the page.

Once selected, you can view the 50 closest to your location and also use them as a Go To or a stop.

For you bikers coming to Daytona Beach for
Biketoberfest AND are using a Garmin GPSr
with 2008NT installed - be cautious !
I have been having a lot of problems with
directions in and around US 1 in the Ormood
Beach area since updating to 2008NT.
Have sent info to Navtek and Garmin !
You might not have the same problems since
I am running a C330 !

is the latest list of H-D Dealers for the US & Canada. Also download the logo per the instructions on that page. I've been maintaining this list for about 4 years now. It is free.
