Upgrading

I have a 885 Garmin right now and I'm thinking of upgrading. What I need most is Lifetime Traffic and maps also I need a gps to show the street I'm coming up to at the top of the map. My 885 does not do this my old 660 does and a big screen. can anybody help me with this?

nüvi® 2557LMT

I love my new nüvi® 2557LMT especially the traffic feature.

Missing it?

The last time I was on Garmin's site, unless I'm missing it, I didn't see where they tell which models show the name of the upcoming street. If I upgrade my 855 I also want voice commands and lifetime maps.

Anytime you have a 50-50 chance of getting something right, there's a 90% probability you'll get it wrong.

I would not get too hung up about voice commands. My old 855 has it and it works quite well, better than the 3790 does.

My newer 3790 also has voice commands but I am not happy with the way it works.

My 855 isn't 100% on commands but it beats not having them.

I would still like to know where some of the guys are getting the information on which models show the name of the next street.

upgraded from 660/680 to 2460(LMT)

I upgraded for the larger screen, also going with lifetime maps and such. I don't use voice command; every so often it hears something and asks me to repeat a command; I push the exit button on the screen.

The 2460 shows the next street at the top of the screen. I've found this useful when in areas I'm not familiar with.

Of course the 2460 isn't the latest and greatest, but it works. It has enough memory to support another few generations of maps (unlike the 660/680 which ran out of room).

+1 on the 2460LMT

I, too, love my 2460LMT ... and I've owned multiple Garmins, starting with the I5.

I, too, don't like Voice Command ... too many false "Say a Command" ... seems to key on my wife's voice when we are just having a conversation.

But overall, love the 2460 ... as as others have said, plenty of room for future maps in addition to loading other maps.

Garmin 205, 260W, 1450LMT, 2460LMT, HEREwego for iPhone ... all still mapping strong.

Love My NUVI

My 2460LMT has all the features I need and has been working fine for several years.
