Windows 7 is hiding the "systems" folder on my 1450. This file appears using Windows XP.

Windows 7 is hiding the "systems" folder on my 1450. This file appears using Windows XP.
There are three things you need to do
Go to your Folder Options on your Win7 PC and confirm or change the following:
-Check "Show hidden files, folders, and drives"
-Uncheck "Hide extensions for known file types"
-Uncheck "Hide protected operating system files (Recommended)"

Since I don't recall ever hearing that XP doesn't hide the .system folder, I suspect that those changes were made by the OP under XP and haven't been made in Windows 7.

You're right, unless you change it XP even hides the file extensions, as does 7.
Anytime you have a 50-50 chance of getting something right, there's a 90% probability you'll get it wrong.
