In danger of losing your windmill?
Maybe you can share with us the last place your GPS took you and if you encountered any problems, or if you use it to seek out special places to go (like Thai Food, ice cream shoppes, etc.).
Anything to keep your windmill alive.

in Long Beach, CA
I bought some Twinkies. (The sweetest comeback in history of EVER.)
NYC to LA then LA to Atlanta. Gone 49 days
Now that is a trip
Fantastic drive down CA 1. Some of the best scenery CA has to offer. Went to a little restaurant overlooking the Pacific Ocean called Nepenthe
Unfortunately, my most recent trip was to a church in a town several hours away. Used the GPS to find the church for a funeral. GPS worked like a charm ... but I gotta tell you ... the reason for using it was a real bummer.
Just had to get away so we headed to the other side of PA. No highways, 1 day riding there, 1 day riding the mountain roads and 1 day riding home.
Haven't been able to get away for quite some time so this was great, even though the lower back was a little stiff.
The zumo 665 routes were great and XM Weather helped us steer around all the rain in the area while other riders got drenched. It has saved me from the rain plenty of times.
and back on motorcycles. Still enjoying the summer vacation in Alaska! Weather has been perfect and having a great time with friends.
GPS takes me back to find the Spanish Pointe Restaurant and Grill in Osprey FL.
Friday's here...packed up and going camping.
Nothing this week. But going to visit my mother in Redding, Ca. next week. Will bring it so that I don't get lost!
But then I didn't need GPS for that.
Hit the store to pick up food for the week.
Great place to see Steam Engines, Antique Automobiles, etc. on display. Bring your camera.
Garmin Nuvi 2460LMT directed accurately to site:
303 Norfolk Ave SW, Roanoke, VA 24016
Day trip from Westminster Maryland to Coopersburg PA to visit relatives.
6 hour ride using my 850 om my cycle. No incidents but missed a few turns. Admiring the view in Eastern Ontario and then realized that I just missed the turn. Oh well...recalculating shows another turn in a few miles.
Beautiful drive through the Sierra Nevada mountains to the high desert of eastern CA. Lovely old ghost town of Bodie as well.
Made a run from north Atlanta to South of Macon GA to visit a friend and bring back peaches from the orchards. Visited Andersonvlle civil war prison site for the first time.
Just returned to Atlanta from Greensboro NC.
More chocolate and wine. Campbellford and Prince Edward County.
Just got back from the coast. I was very white when I left now a little brown. The weather was great, had a great time looking at the birds, beach, alligators, aquariums, walking trails, flying kites, climbing a big tree and eating a lot with the grandkids.
...Supermarket, Target, Wal-Mart, Post Office
Driving grandsons home a week with us. Lot of fun. Golf, beach, water park.
Camping along the Upper Mississippi River. Just made reservations. Will use GPS to find campgrounds.
Took a weekend trip up to DC to watch my Mets lose to the Nats, and take a long overdue visit to the Air & Space Museum's Udvar-Hazy Center.
Most recent trip was to Walmart.
MO to WI
From Alabama to Rocky Mountain high in Buena Vista CO for a few days and then on to Salem Oregon via Motorcycle to attend the BMW International Rally. While at the rally, attended a really great seminar on BaseCamp and got some great points and ideas. During this loop we explored the "Tour of Honor" sites and National Parks and of course some great mom and pop places to eat... headed down the Oregon Coast across mid California to Yosemite and then Nevada and Area 51, Utah and back to Buena Vista for a couple more days and then back to Alabama ...three weeks... BaseCamp worked perfect... EXTRA on my Zumo contained all the special places and POI from this great forum, such as out of the way places, Travel Plazas and much more... did I mention we found some great places to eat? Great roads and wonderful folks along the way...... Many small towns and cities have wonderful memorials to our fallen heroes... Great weather for July... oh...rented a ATV and did a trail to near top of MT. Elbert CO... a real adventure as well.

Care to share the names and locations of those places to eat? There is a POI here for those Mom & Pop's recommended by people like yourself.

On one leg of our "two-day vacation" my GPS sent us on to a strange country road. Getting off the Interstate and US highways, the final leg was down a country road, narrow and hilly, and through a covered bridge. The name of the road was Smith's Bridge Road. Very enjoyable and unexpected segment of otherwise routine trip. Thanks, Garmin!
Went out to get lunch(Thai Food)and ran across some elephants.
Of course I can eat Thai everyday, I live in thailand....
continue to enjoy our vacation in Alaska. Anchorage has had record setting temperatures during our summer visit. Absolutely beautiful!
Another successful round trip to Lowe's!!
Just returned from a two weeker to Seattle, WA for a 40th reunion of guys I went to graduate school with. Gosh, we look older!
Weather along the Pacific Coast in SW Washington State & Portland, OR was great compared to Maryland.
Denver also decided to cool off while I was there. A big thanks for that.
Not been anywhere since trip to Toledo...
last week, and took my OLD, OLD C330, and my OLD 765T. I shortly broke the power Cord on the 765T, but fortunately, the rental minivan had a 110 plug. So, switched and good to go. There is so much construction around Fort Worth, you need to have some patience when she routes you onto a Freeway entrance that is not there. This with the latest maps. Overall, they both got me to where I wanted to go. The best part is the abundance of POI files created by the wonderful people here at the Factory.
More about an ETA than the directions.
Will do that...I am working on small file of favorite places and will add to that list...within a few days...
