Garmin/GPX problem

I have a Garmin 1490LM (software 6.2, 2013.40 maps). I have built some custom routes using Mapsource(6.13.3) and saved as GPX. I have noticed when I use the GPX routes, my speed (in LR corner of display) along with the time (LL corner of display) vary rarely update. The navigation is correct and Jill talks to me but the time/speed display rarely update. Went on a 2 ½ hr. trip and time did not update at all and speed updated once.
Time/speed update constantly when the Garmin determines route or when I use a CSV file. Thinking the problem might cause by Mapsource, I created a route using BaseCamp(4.1.0) and the same problem existed.
This problem also occurred on 2013.3 maps

Have looked through Mapsource and BaseCamp options but couldn't find anything.
I have Googled this and also searched POIFactory with no results (could be my search parameters are not correct).

What have I done wrong? Is there any documentation that would give further info on this?

Thanks, Richard

Odd problem.

This sounds like a very odd problem and I can't think of anything that would cause it. My suggestion would be to back up your nuvi, perform a hard reset, then reimport the favorites and routes.

I have a nuvi 1450 and every once in a while those two things happen to me, too, although not at the same time. I also haven't been able to figure out why. To fix the arrival time problem, I merely press that box, confirm that "arrival time" is indicated (and it always is), then press OK and now the arrival time is displayed correctly.
The current speed indicator problem is a tougher nut to crack. To correct that issue requires that I turn the GPSr off and back on. So far, that has always done the trick. I don't thing that .gpx files have anything to do with it. (I may be wrong about that. I've been wrong before.)
For these two problems, I find it easier to just make it right and not lose any sleep over it.
